CITY OF THE TRIBES

Today in class,we learned vocabulary using anagrams.
In the afternoon we went to the city centre. We did a walking tour to know about the tribes of Galway. The first place was the Claddach museum, a typical jewellery shop-museum founded by Thomas Dillon. Later we went to visit the remains of the old Town Hall called the Hall of the  Red Earl. After that we walked along the Corrib river and there the activity leader explained us about the flora and fauna of the riverbank. Then we walked to the most important university in Galway, called NUIG. There was an interesting exhibition of music made of 40 different musicians singing at a time through loudspeakers. To finish with the tour we walked to the cathedral and listened to the orgue.

In the evening we did a Scavenger Hunt. We had to take some funny pictures of the group doing different tasks, singing, playing, making human piramids and a lot more.  It has been a very funny activity and we have enjoyed it a lot.
When we were back, we waited for everybody to come and they decided on the winners. One of our groups won, and guess what they got as a prize.... Irish hats.
Before going to bed our teachers called us to their apartment to sort out the prizes of lasts Saturday treasure hunt activity.  Even there was just a group winner, everyboby did very well; so all of us got a yummy ice-cream as a prize.
