SPIDDLE, ARTISAN CRAFTS AND IRISH PARTY

Today in class we have played a game to learn new vocabulary, we think that it was very funny because the words were very difficult.
After lunch we went to Spiddle, a beach. Some of us puddled, the rest of us sunbathed on the rocks, while others looked for  crabs and sea-shells. It was a really pretty place, because it was a wild beach and there were a lot of  jellyfish in the sea and on the sand.
We also went  to a little village where every house had a different artisan job. We bought some crafts from the shops, and some other things in the café, like cupcakes or hot chocolate.
At dinner time all of us ate salad, vegetables and fruit for dessert.
In the evening activities we had the Irish party.  Everybody was dressed in green clothes either trousers, T-shirts or jumpers. We danced typical Irish dance. It was very funny because it is really difficult,  we danced other types of music too, music from One Direction, la Macarena, etc.  At the end of the disco some of us got prices, the best dancers got a movie on dvd (Twilight) and an MLI T-shirt, and for the rest of us some stuff for making our nails and some candy, such as chocolate and different types of sweets. We really had fun and we enjoyed it very much.

Today we have had new groups because some Italian students' left, so we are in different classes and some of us with different teachers.
In the afternoon activities we were divided in two groups, one group went to play sports and the other did art.
For the sports activities, we organized ourselves in three teams and we played voleyball, basketball, football and rugby, we competed ones against the others. the winners of the league won a trophy. The second group did rubber brand bracelets and some free painting, those who were more daring tried drawing from a real model.
In the evening activites, we watched the second part  of the film "The Hunger Games".
The teachers want us to eat healthy food so during the meals, they check on a list if we eat salad and fruit, the winners will have a prize.

CITY OF THE TRIBES

Today in class,we learned vocabulary using anagrams.
In the afternoon we went to the city centre. We did a walking tour to know about the tribes of Galway. The first place was the Claddach museum, a typical jewellery shop-museum founded by Thomas Dillon. Later we went to visit the remains of the old Town Hall called the Hall of the  Red Earl. After that we walked along the Corrib river and there the activity leader explained us about the flora and fauna of the riverbank. Then we walked to the most important university in Galway, called NUIG. There was an interesting exhibition of music made of 40 different musicians singing at a time through loudspeakers. To finish with the tour we walked to the cathedral and listened to the orgue.

In the evening we did a Scavenger Hunt. We had to take some funny pictures of the group doing different tasks, singing, playing, making human piramids and a lot more.  It has been a very funny activity and we have enjoyed it a lot.
When we were back, we waited for everybody to come and they decided on the winners. One of our groups won, and guess what they got as a prize.... Irish hats.
Before going to bed our teachers called us to their apartment to sort out the prizes of lasts Saturday treasure hunt activity.  Even there was just a group winner, everyboby did very well; so all of us got a yummy ice-cream as a prize.
